The development of composite insulator industry
With the development of the ultra-high voltage AC and DC of power grid, the composite insulator, with its unique characteristic, is widely used in the power grid. Compared with the traditional porcelain insulator, composite insulator has the advantage of excellent seismic and wet dirt resistance, high strength, light weight, easy operation and maintenance, invulnerability to breakage and its umbrella skirt an d shed can be repaired. Especially in the field of ultra-high voltage, the cost performance of composite insulator is particularly prominent.
Since the beginning of 1998, Pinggao has been engaged in the development of composite insulator, now has the mature development technology of 12 kV ~ 1100 kV ac and dc hollow, pillar composite insulator and the whole series of ac and dc voltage grade line insulator products. The main products are hollow composite insulator, pillar composite insulator, composite insulator for arcing chamber, optical fiber composite insulator, composite sleeve, wall bushing, can meet the requirements of the AC/DC power station of each voltage grade. At present, more than 60000 composite insulator which were developed by Pinggao are operating safely in various area at home and abroad.

1. The structure of hollow composite insulator
Hollow composite insulator as a main component of composite bushing, play a role of the casing mechanical load, the electrical insulation.Hollow composite insulator is composed of silicon rubber umbrella cover, glass fiber winding tubes, end metal flange.

3.Application of hollow composite insulator
The hollow composite insulator produced by Pinggao is mainly used in tank circuit breaker, GIS, mutual inductor, air transformer, reactor, filter, lightning arrester, wall bushing, cable terminals and other kinds of electrical appliances.
4. The type testing and identification reports of hollow composite insulator
1)Type testig
The hollow composite insulator with more than 550KV voltage grade, developed by Pinggao independently, passed through all typing tests respectively in August 2006 and March 2008, and obtained the type test report.

2)Product identification
The hollow composite insulator with the voltage grade of 550KV and more which is developed independently by Pinggao passed through the national identification in June 2009.

1.Structure of composite bushing
The 420kv and the above voltage grade of composite bushing with SF6 gas as its insulating medium, composed of hollow composite insulator, conductive rod, shielding system, grading ring and other components. Including 800 kv and 1100 kv composite bushing is double block structure.
